7 FEMALE MINORS RESCUED, CYBERSEX DEN OPERATORS NABBED
The Anti-Cybercrime Group Regional Digital Forensic Laboratory (RDFL) 11 under the direct supervision of PSSUPT GILBERT CAASI SOSA once again rescued seven female minors who were caught in the act performing live lewd shows in front of the webcam from the hand of two suspect cybersex den operators after successful operations at Room #3, No.499, Purok 26, Barangay Bucana (near Times Beach), an apartment type house inside the compound premises at Ecoland, Davao City, Saturday.
After four months of intense case build up which started from raw information given by an informant to proactive cyber patrolling. RDFL 11 team tailed the suspect and saw a chance from a receipt thrown by her in the garbage can inside the mall. An intelligence driven operation by RDFL 11 operatives together with the City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO) successfully arrested APRIL LYN SINASAP y LIPARTO alias “APRIL”, 24 years old and KRISTINE ABARO-SINASAP, 30 years old. The arrest was by virtue of the search warrant issued by HON. JUDGE EVALYN ARELLANO – MORALES, Presiding Judge, Branch 17, 11th Judicial Region, Davao City.
Arrested suspects are facing multiple charges for violation of Sec. 4 para (c) (g) (h) (I) of R.A. 9775 (An Act Defining the Crime of Child Pornography), in relation to Sec 4 para (a) of R.A. 9208 (Anti – Human Trafficking Act of 2003) and Art. III Sec 5, Art. V and VI of R.A. 7610 (Special Protection of Children Against Abuse, Exploitation and Discrimination Act). Seized from their possession and control were laptop, broadband SIM card, mobile phones, headphone, receipts from Cebuana Lhuillier, assorted discs, live ammunition of .38 caliber and cash money believed to be proceeds from their cyber pornography operations amounting to 1,450.00 on different denominations.
April Lyn Sinasap revealed in an interview conducted by operatives that she started her cybersex operation at her mother’s house using its personal desktop computer however was able to buy her own laptop computer months ago. The said computer and other items such as landline telephone, modem with adaptor were voluntarily surrendered by her mother to the police. She also admitted to the cybercrime saying that their family is in dire need of money and she found the illegal activity lucrative because she earns in dollars.
The two are now under the custody of PNP ACG RDFL 11 prior to filing of criminal case before the Prosecutor’s Office through inquest proceedings while minors are now under the custody of the Davao City Social Services and Development Office (CSSDO).
The PNP Anti-Cybercrime Group on the instruction of the Chief PNP will continue to focus its operation on preventing children from sexual abuse and exploitation.
